Daniel Hodge had the privilege of
growing up surrounded by the ministry.
However, as the son and grandson of pastors,
he had no desire to enter the ministry for
himself. A Michigan native, Daniel, attended
Christian School from kindergarten through
high school. In high school, he focused on
perfecting his basketball skills and
preparing for a successful law career. Upon
graduation, he began his pre-law work and
fully intended to become a prominent
attorney with a future goal of working in
government, but the Lord had different
plans. After only one semester, Daniel
could no longer escape the Lord’s call upon
his life. He changed colleges and majors and
enrolled at Crown College of the Bible in
Powell, TN to prepare for the ministry. Upon
graduation in 2004, Daniel joined his father
in church planting near Lancaster, PA. It
was there that he met his now wife, Sara,
and they served together throughout their
courtship.
After their wedding in December 2011,
Daniel and Sara relocated to Caldwell to
begin serving on the staff of First Baptist
Church. They are expecting their first child
in October of this year.
Though his life looks nothing like he
originally planned it to, Daniel is grateful
for a God that had much better plans and who
has worked them out so wonderfully over the
last several years! He feels blessed to
serve his Savior here in New Jersey. |
